What is Tamagotchi?

Tamagotchi originated in Japan by a designer who is probably very rich right now! Japanese people loved them because in some of their homes, there was no room for a regular pet. These pets took no space at all, except maybe a pocket !! People were camping outside of local stores in order to get a Tamagotchi for themselves or their children. They were also popular because the kids learned responsibilty. You can call a Tamagotchi a "pre-pet" because after they took care of it for a while, they learned that pets need constant care. Tamagotchis are now not very popular because everyone already has one or more in their homes.



Buying A Good Tam

When you buy a Tamagotchi, there are a few things you should consider. First, you need to be up to date on the rare and common kinds of Tamagotchi. If you find some on a store shelf, look to see if any rare kinds are there. If not, you can pick any color you want. Second, make sure it is an official Bandai Tamagotchi. You don't want to get ripped off because one looked like a real Tam. Lastly, check the price. If the price seems a tad higher than regular, don't buy it there. Odds are you can find it for less at another store.



Tamagotchi Care

To take care of Tamagotchi, you have to feed it, play with it, and clean up after it.
- Do not feed it too many snacks. That is bad.
- Play with Tamagotchi often because he loves to play with you. It makes him happy.
